Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information MARTUNBOUND collects when you use this site, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It covers this storefront — not other websites you may reach through a link.

1. What we collect

  • Account details. Your username, email address and a securely hashed password — we never store your password in plain text. If you sign in with Google, we verify your credential with Google and keep only your name and email.
  • Orders. Your name, email, delivery address and phone number, the items you bought, the payment method, and any delivery instructions you add (which we encrypt). For JazzCash or EasyPaisa payments we also keep the payment screenshot you upload so we can verify it.
  • Gift orders. If you send a gift, we store the recipient's name if you provide it. The recipient then gives us their own delivery address, phone number and instructions, which we use only to deliver the gift.
  • Messages and content. Support requests, chat messages, reviews, questions and answers you submit, and your newsletter sign-up if you subscribe.
  • Seller information. If you apply to sell, your store details and the wallet or bank details you give us for payouts.
  • Technical data. Basic information such as your browser type and pages visited, used in aggregate to keep the site working and to understand how it is used.

2. Information that stays on your device

Several tools keep their data only in your browser's local storage and never send it to us: your bag, wishlist and price alerts, recently viewed pieces, the “Save for it”, “Sleep on it” and gift-reminder tools, your collector shelf, and your work-hours setting. Clearing your browser data removes it.

3. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account and to process, deliver and support your orders and returns.
  • To verify payments and to protect you and us from fraud. Orders are checked automatically for signs of fraud, and an order that looks risky may be held for a manual review.
  • To send service emails — order confirmations, shipping updates, gift notifications and security messages.
  • To send marketing email such as our newsletter, only if you subscribed. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To remind you about items you left in a bag while signed in, where we offer that.
  • To run and improve the site, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is needed with:

  • Couriers — your name, address and phone number, to deliver your order.
  • Marketplace sellers — the delivery details for items they sell, so they can fulfil the order.
  • Payment providers — JazzCash and EasyPaisa handle your transfer in their own apps. We never see your wallet PIN.
  • Service providers that host the site, send email and measure usage on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations. Site usage may be measured in aggregate through Vercel Analytics.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or prevent fraud.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your choices, including your cookie-consent choice. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. If you arrive through an affiliate link, we store a small code so the referral can be credited.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account and order records for as long as your account is open and for as long afterwards as we need them for returns, warranty, accounting and legal reasons. Payment screenshots and delivery details are kept no longer than that. When we no longer need information we delete or anonymise it.

7. Keeping it secure

Passwords are hashed, delivery instructions are encrypted, and the site is served over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and never share it.

8. Your choices and rights

  • View and update your details from your account page at any time.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any email.
  • Ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account and associated data, through our Contact page. We may need to keep some records where the law requires us to.

9. Children

The site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you on the site or by email.
